Someone you love has died. It may be your partner, your parent, your child, your friend – and that person’s death is having a devastating effect on you. Nothing has prepared you for this. You are not alone.
Grief doesn’t travel along a straight line and then fade away and disappear. Grief will come in waves – and sometimes it will feel like a tsunami. However, over time as you mourn and acknowledge your grief, the waves will soften. The waves will be fewer and farther between. At Crossroads Hospice Society, we provide support in learning how to ride these waves.
