Interim Executive Director Jill Cook on behalf of Alice Hale, Chair
The Crossroads Hospice Society Board and its Chair, Alice Hale, are pleased to announce the selection of Janice Boyle as the new Executive Director, effective June 22, 2020. “We are very excited to welcome Janice to Crossroads,” said Alice Hale, CHS Board Chair.
“We are very excited to welcome Janice to Crossroads,” said Alice Hale, CHS Board Chair. “These are challenging times and Janice’s leadership and experience will ensure we continue to provide compassionate care for people with life-limiting illnesses, along with their families and friends. The Board also thanks Interim Executive Director, Jill Cook, for her outstanding management of Crossroads these past few months. She ensured continuity of service and support during this interim period.”
Janice Boyle comes to Crossroads Hospice Society with over 25 years of senior non-profit experience with an emphasis in fundraising, program and project leadership, and stakeholder engagement. Janice’s most recent role was as the Director of Development, Options Community Services Society, where she oversaw fund development including raising private funds for a new affordable housing project. Previously, Janice was the Executive Director, Muscular Dystrophy Canada Western Region; Director, Development, BCIT Foundation; and the Director, Development & Communications, Covenant House Vancouver.
The Crossroads Hospice Society was founded as a non-profit society over 30 years ago to serve the Tri-Cities, Anmore, Belcarra, and New Westminster. The Society works with Fraser Health to provide a home-like supportive hospice residence offering peace and comfort during the last days of life. Grief and loss support is offered for adults and youth. Operation of the Crossroads Thrift Store helps fund the society’s services. Committed volunteers, supporters, and staff ensure that Crossroad’s reputation for excellence in support of individuals and their families continues.
